- Place a bottle of Cif cleaner prominently in the kitchen
- Pretend you use fabric softener in every wash
- A quick hoover won't go amiss
- Turn the hand towels around- she might not notice that paint stain and ground in Weetabix
- Plump a few cushions
- Make sure her little darlings clothes are all ironed
- Pretend you worship the ground her little boy walks on
- Nod and smile generally

pmsl, sounds like my MIL. Dhe has nothing better to do than clean all day. Her house is pristine!!
Another good tip, is make sure little Darlings are wearing something that she has brought for them, or playing with something she has brought for them. Works everytime here!

Or do nothing and hope that she arrives and takes pity on the state of the house/children/husband and does the above herself.... Depends on the mother-in-law I suppose.

Surely she would be very happy if she notice that her little darlings are wearing the clothes she has given and playing the toys which she brought and also applying the instructions she has given to take care for her darling and keeping all her things clean and away from little baby.It really works !!!!!
