Favourite Photo Meme: Stonehenge

12th January 2010 5 Comments

I wasn’t going to blog here for a few weeks, but the favourite photo meme is such a lovely one that I thought I would briefly provide you with a gem from my archives. Thanks to the lovely Amy for tagging me.

It’s hard to find a favourite picture, I have lots. However, this represents a really happy weekend before a momentous change in our lives. On this weekend, we went to Stonehenge (to the inner bit that archaeologists go to) camped nearby and quite literally flew a kite over it as the sun came up. This was to take some aerial photographs of the stones. Really cool.

Boy, I'd love to do that – walk amongst the stones. The privileges of your profession…

Tim, I think that anyone can do it now. You just need to block a slot with English Heritage, they do tours regularly before it opens. Or so I am told!
