Last year I made a deal with myself, if I could save £100 on the home insurance I'd use the money to treat the family to a day out I have always tried to do is to find the best deals on our home insurance. I know that this is one area where you can literally save hundreds of pounds fairly easily. One of the best sites I've found to get a great home insurance deal is Comparethemarket.com At the moment, they have an added incentive to make it really worthwhile signing up with them, you can get a free Meerkat toy. I'm told they are very collectable!
I'm glad I did shop around and look at the policies very carefully using the comparison website because until this year I have never had to make a claim. However, I managed to lose the diamond from my eternity ring and I needed to claim for it on the Home Insurance. Luckily, I had compared all the different policies and managed to get one which covered for accidental loss and so we didn't have to spend a fortune buying a new stone, it was covered.
