Listing Things

If you have read my blog for a few years you’ll remember back in the day when I used to write myself lists on it here for all to see. That way I could actually remember to do stuff, be guilted into doing the stuff because it was out there in public and also have a sense of glory when the things had been achieved. Hell, I could even blog about my achievements in an update list.

Then the blog sort of took on a different direction and people other than friends started reading it and I felt a bit guilty about putting up my shopping lists and lists of chores. Anyway, I’ve realised that it’s actually a really good way of organising myself. I’m resurrecting the lists, if you decide to do one yourself, I’ll come and have a look. Might get a few ideas….

• Paint nursery, put up curtains
• Find sheepskin floor rugs for Fifi and Boys room
• Wash baby clothes
• Pack hospital bag
• Order Tens Machine pads
• Write up all reviews for blog (best not list these)
• Tidy drawers
• Sort out husbands clothes in wardrobe
• Finish taking tiles off bathroom walls
• Order skip
• Mark kitchen cupboard doors for handles, drill & mount handles on doors
• Replace under sink kitchen doors
• Phone architect
• Organise accounts
• Ebay spare pushchairs
• Ebay clothes
• Dust and clean upstairs of house
• Sort and clearout toys
• Sand newly plastered bathroom walls
• Paint bathroom
• Lay lino in downstairs loo
• Find pictures for frames
• Print out Fifi pictures

• Clear out more stuff in kitchen

Lists are great for motivation. I'm a little too scared to actually make one of my own. I wish you luck with this, may the force of lists be with you!

Jeeps that list would make me hide under my duvet and cry… Mine usually include things like, 1. Sweep kitchen floor 2. Mop kitchen floor 3. Sweep living room floor 4. Mop living room floor… That kind of dull achievable rubbish!

That is some list – feel like I need a sit down after reading it

I love lists – couldn't survive without my diary (one page diary, one page lists each week)
