Book Review: Olive & Moss Board Books

29th June 2013 1 Comment

It goes without saying that we are big fans of board books in this house and we have been fortunate enough to review a series of really good ones recently. Ned was sent four Olive & Moss board books to have a look at and my immediate thoughts were that they were bright, colourful and rather lovely. These remain my thoughts and Ned clearly feels the same as he has been gravitating towards them all week. In particular he seems to like Collette the Cow, which is very pink and so it’s rather amusing for us all.

Well made and full of different colours and textures these board books attempt to convey concepts. Each one uses a story to introduce colour, shape, numbers and apparently as the characters are very popular with children they should be instantly familiar. I must admit, we had not come across the brand before, but perhaps that’s just us. It didn’t influence little Neds enjoyment and the older children seem quite keen to help him read them which is very nice indeed.

You can find out more about the series here on the Egmont Website
