The All Bran 5 Day Challenge

A month or so ago I was asked if I would like to take part on the Kelloggs All Bran 5 Day Challenge. It’s a dead simple idea, all you need to do is to eat a bowl of All Bran everyday for 5 days and see if you notice the difference. As bran really makes a difference to digestive health you should be able to feel the difference that quickly. On the All Bran website there is a special section for you to log-in and register so you can track what you are doing and get some additional tips. So I headed off that way.

I decided to alternate days between the Red Berry Crunch and the Golden Crunch. Both were absolutely delicious as I do have a bit of a soft spot for cluster cereals. My only criticism was that the suggested portion size was really small and I ended up having nearly twice that amount, which I’m not sure is the best idea. I have to admit, I do tend to eat a lot of porridge and honey or yogurt for breakfast or cornflakes so these did make a nice change. I’m not convinced that it made a massive difference to how well I felt generally as I think switching to a diet with porridge and honey on a more regular basis was a real noticeable change anyway.

If you don’t eat breakfast cereals normally, or if you don’t eat enough bran (like many of us) then these cereals are a really great way to kickstart a healthy eating plan and Kelloggs has come up tops again with their 5 day Challenge which you can register for here
