Book Review: There’s a Dinosaur in My Bathtub by Catalina Echeverri

There’s a Dinosaur in My Bathtub is a brilliantly quirky new book by Columbian author and illustrator Catalina Echeverri. Its all about a French dinsoaur that lives in a little girls bathtub. He a a bit of an imaginary friend really, because only Amelia the little girl can actually see him…

This book was absolutely adored by Fifi (now 5) but didn’t appeal quite as much to her younger and elder brothers. I think secretly Fifi could probably identify with Amelia, I know I can. We sat down together and read it, laughing at the brilliant illustrations. There is a real French quirky feel to the book and we both found it visually appealing, as well as a lovely read.

As far as me and Fifi are concerned you can’t go wrong with a books about a French dinosaur complete with moustache living in your bathtub. I can see us reading this over and over for many years yet!

Make sure you have a look at Catalina Echeverri’s website which sucks you in with its gorgeous illustrations. You’ll find all the information about the book here
