Hot on the heels of Red Cat Blue Cat, we have the brand spanking new story illustrated by Jenni Desmond. Backstage Cat follows the antics of a pampered cat called Simon who belongs to a famous celebrity starring in a play at the theatre. Simon doesn’t even have to walk from the car, the pampered moggy is carried up to the dressing room. One day however the dressing room door isn’t shut properly and Simon gets out and does what cats do, causes mayhem!
Harriet Ziefert tells a frenetic paced story that is a perfect accompaniment to Desmond’s manic artwork, as we see Simon (which is a brilliant name for a cat), bring the show to a grinding halt with his onstage antics.
