Its not long now till the Easter break and I’ve been looking at things to do with the kids. As usual I’ve found that the school holidays are at their happiest when I plan our activities. That way we all know what we are doing, what we can look forward to and I don’t have three children glued to the television.
One things that looks great is Cbeebies Live; The BIG Band Easter Tour which is their latest show featuring Mr Maker, Mr Bloom and Mr Tumble along with a host of other Cbeebies favourites. Since Mr Tumble is little Ned’s favourite TV personality I suspect he will love it.
The show is visiting these locations:
· APR 5 – Wembley Arena
· APR 6 – Wembley Arena
· APR 8 – Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
· APR 9 – Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
· APR 10 – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle Upon Tyne
· APR 12 – Capital FM Arena, Nottingham
· APR 13 – Phones 4u Arena – Manchester
· APR 14 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
· APR 15 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
· APR 17 – Echo Arena, Liverpool
· APR 18 – LG Arena, Birmingham
· APR 19 – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield
We are lucky enough to live within a short drive of Wembley Arena, which frankly is one of the most impressive venues there. If you live within the south of the country its the most obvious one to visit so I thought it might be good to make your visit to see the show into a bit of an adventure and stay in a hotel.
Probably the best hotel for Wembley Arena is the local Holiday Inn Brent Cross Hotel
. We love Holiday Inns, you know exactly what you are going to get and that its good value. From Brent Cross you can visit a number of other local attractions.
One of the best places nearby is the RAF Museum in Hendon
which is free and where you can see some brilliant aircraft and enjoy the interactive activity zone.
Brent Cross Shopping Centre itself is worth a visit if you enjoy a bit of West End style shopping, it has a great mix of high end stores and high street favourites and always has some children’s activities during the school holidays.
As Brent Cross is on the tube you also have the whole of London to investigate. Why not combine a trip to Cbeebies live with a visit to the Natural History Museum, the British Museum to see the Vikings Special exhibition or a trip to the Tate Modern.
I hope that’s given you a few ideas and maybe got you thinking about a little action packed trip away with the kids.
