This is the third book in the series about the young generation of royals and has been written to mark another special occasion. These books are a brilliant idea because they introduce pre-schoolers to a bit of current affairs in a really light hearted, well written and illustrated way. I like the idea of having these sort of picture books which relations can buy to mark these special national occasions.
The eldest children have read this book several times and really enjoyed it, finding themselves amused by the story as they know exactly what its like to have a new baby. They also like the corgis who could probably have their own spin off series: ‘Hey! Its a new royal corgi…’
If you’re intending on marking the birth with your children, after all its quite a good excuse for a bit of a tea party and stealth learning about the royal family and family trees, then I think this book makes a great little gift.
