We had an amazing time the other night experiencing the Halloween Witch Academy on the Coca-Cola London Eye. The London Eye is such an iconic London landmark that its one of those things which you just have to take the children on and my children have been desperate for a ride for a while. Funnily enough, despite being a Londoner (now in the suburbs) and with my train stopping near to the London Eye I’ve only been on it once myself previously. It was brilliant to be asked to go along and try out their new Witch Academy and report back on it!
So what is the Halloween Witch Academy Experience? Well, its what I’d call an ‘added value’ experience to your ride. We met a wizard and where given priority boarding to our very own spooky capsule. Once in the capsule the kids were entertained by the wizard with spells and games and also encouraged to spot some London landmarks along the way. They were also given a little goody bag which contained a book of spells and games, a witches/ wizards hat and some spooky sweets. They all absolutely loved the whole experience. Funnily enough my youngest was the most enthused, I think mainly because he loves a bit of drama.
From an adult perspective I thought this was a really good way to experience the eye if you have kids because I could focus on spotting landmarks and enjoying the view whilst the children were entertained. The wizard was also very amusing and we felt quite welcomed and special which does make a difference at some of London’s more touristy attractions.
If you are looking for a truly memorable experience this autumn half term then the Witch Academy is something that you should consider. I will genuinely never forget seeing little Ned wearing his witches hat on the London Eye and being so utterly enthralled and excited by the whole experience. The older children were completely thrilled and still haven’t stopped talking about it. It really is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. I urge you to book it up and take the kids!
