There is nothing but love in my niece’s house for Frozen and when a box with the new Frozen Fever Deluxe Doll set in arrived which was almost the size of Bean she screamed with delight.
This fantastic set includes a singing Anna and Elsa with a change of clothes. Little figures of everyone to play with and a Hans (he doesn’t sing) he was put to the side and had to lay face down on the table whilst Anna and Elsa had their clothes changed over and over again.
I loved watching Bean acting out the mini film which we had seen when we went to watch Cinderella earlier this year and even though we have all the Frozen dolls already, these did something different again. On the whole it was the different songs and outfits that met with much approval and so they went off to meet their counterparts in her bedroom pretty sharpish. It looked a little like a Frozen convention in there with Elsa’s and Anna’s of different heights and sizes all having a make believe tea party with cake which was included in the set.
Bean loved it so much she told her little friend Lola about it at Ballet. Lola came round for the afternoon so they could do a proper Frozen Toy road test. The set elicited lots oooohs and ahhhhs from the girls and they totally loved playing with it.
It is a really great toy set though, I would have loved it as a child. The toys are well made, the sort of quality you would expect from Disney and will last through even the most robust playing.
The only downside is the packaging, there was so much of it. The box was too big for out recycling, husband had to take it all to the dump and I spent an entire episode of Peter Rabbit unpacking it all with Bean bouncing up and down next to me desperate for Elsa to be free!
If you buy this for Christmas your child will love it, it will look amazing under the tree as its huge, but do expect to have to use an entire roll of wrapping paper on it. Another plus is that the dolls have different phrases which is a welcome respite from the usual Frozen sayings.
