Book Review: Gus’s Garage by Leo Timmers

Gus's Garage_Cover_medGus’s Garage was originally published in Belgium where Leo Timmers has a large following as a picture book author. This is a translation by James Brown and it works really well, in fact I didn’t realise it was a translation.

The story is quite simple, based around Gus the rhino workshop garage and all the problems his client presents him with. Its a great idea and is particularly appealing to children who like cars. The illustrations are bright and appealing and amusing, particularly in the tiny details.

As this is a book produced by Gecko Press I think it goes without saying that it is nicely produced and feels nice to read.

This is a good fun read for a pre-schooler. You can find out more here
