Book Review: Hiding Heidi by Fiona Woodcock

hiding heidiHeidi is a little girl who is just too good at hiding; she always wins games of hide and seek when she plays with her friends. This is a book which works on a number of levels because its great fun to spot Heidi in the illustrations, but also because there is a message in the book about friendship and how interact with your peers.

This was a lovely book which struck me as very original. I like the way that my little 4 year old could get something out of it and it gave my seven year old food for thought. In that sense its a great book for a bedtime read in a household filled with children at different stages in their development.

As a parent I thought this was a lovely read, I really enjoyed looking at the illustrations which are beautifully drawn and are works of art in themselves.

You can find out more about the book here.
