2019 marks 20 years of the Usborne touchy- feely series of books- ‘That’s not my…!’ This is the fantastic series of books which has become the basis all children’s bookshelves. They’re certainly books which my children enjoyed when they were smaller and which they nostalgically cling to whenever I suggest a clear out. We loved ‘That’s not my teddy’ and ‘That’s not my bunny’ and I could probably recite them even now.
To mark the occasion Usborne are bringing out a whole series of new books this year. We went sent ‘That’s not my mermaid…’, ‘That’s not my puppy…’ and ‘That’s not my zebra…’ to have a look at. These books are perfect for little toddlers with sensory aspects to enjoy alongside the colourful illustrations. They encourage young minds to look, to feel and to think about what they are touching- building on hand-eye co-ordination.
If you’re looking for a gift for a friend with a new baby or for a first or second birthday treat these provide the ideal solution. Lets hope they bring out more over the next twenty years!
