I’m mum to three children aged 10, 8 and 5. This blog started off as a record of my experiences with my eldest and carried on from there, charting our interests, experiences and life in general.
As a result of my lifelong love of books I found myself reviewing lots of picture books. The blog is now considered one of the UK’s best resources for reviews of picture books and showcases some of the very best contemporary authors. In 2014 I set up St Albans Literary Festival and I work on that alongside my work as a freelance heritage educator and museum curator.
I’m an avid home crafter and make a lot of our clothes and homewares, you’ll find some of these detailed here or on my Instagram pages. I’m also a professional museum curator.
Over the past nine years I’ve worked freelance as a social media consultant for various UK PR agencies. I’ve also been lucky enough to work with some of the best and biggest brands in the world. These include Amazon, Cocoa-Cola, Britax, Mattel, Twentieth Century Fox, Lego, P & G, Nestle, Stokke, McClaren, Little Dish, Innocent, Goodfellas, Thomson Holidays, Volvo, Chevrolet, Butlins, Legoland, Product of the Year and many more. I’ve been (or am currently) a brand ambassador for Yeo Valley, Netflix, Duplo, X-box, Pampers, Playmobil, Kelloggs, Warner Bros, Miffy and Silver Cross. On the book front I work closely with Walker Books, Simon and Schuster, PenguinRandomHouse (Puffin), Curious Fox and BookTrust.
You’ll find me approachable, realistic and un-demanding, please do get in touch if there is anything I can do to help!
