We have spent a lovely weekend in the St Albans snow. We made snowmen, ran about Verulamium Park (some of us also rolled about in the snow) and we brought snow indoors for baby Fifi to play with.
To add to all this we had a visit from the local church travelling crib. It was fun playing with the donkey and helped us to at least try to tell the children about the actual meaning of Christmas.

looks like good fun! I can remember playing in the snow in Verulanium Park, when I was about 7 – a looonng time ago now! (-;
Verulanium in the snow is the most fun! Ahh to be small again!
Lovely pictures and I love the hat – I am very envious
It looks like you had a super time?

What's a travelling crib?
The travelling crib is a Mexican idea whereby representations of Mary, Joseph and the donkey on their way to stay at Bethlehem spend a night during advent at a different house in the local community. Its a way of all the local families getting to meet.
Still no real snow but lots of ice (ouch!!) on London's streets. You are such a s(n)how off! ;-)

Are you around between x-mas and New Year's? Weather permitting, we could pop by and meet for a mulled wine or a beer in one of your lovely village pubs.
Oh it looks lovely. We had a walk along the canal further north.

Travelling crib sounds like a great idea. We're trying to teach Ben about the nativity using his advent calendar – I think we've gone wrong as when he gets the chocolate he says "thank you baby jesus".
So sweet… Looks fun. Snow here was a bit of a fraude over here.
Looking forward to reading all Xmas stories from bloggers.
Thanks for nice comment. :)
Have a lovely time with lill ones and grown ups too.
