Book Review: The Runaway Pea by Kjartan Poskitt and Alex Willmore

30th June 2019 No Comments

I don’t know about your kids but these is one genre of picture books which my children love above all others and that is the ones which involve comedy¬† around characters based on the food they eat. This is one of those books and suffice to say, the ten and seven year old loved it as a bedtime story. We still occasionally do picture books instead of chapter books at bedtime because there is something comforting and relaxing about them. This time they had a fight over who would read it out!

The story is basically about a pea who has bounced off the plate across the kitchen. Its a simple idea but had the kids in hysterics, they thought it was really funny.

If you’re looking for a quirky, amusing, light hearted read then this is the book for you.
