Book Review: The Runaway Pea by Kjartan Poskitt and Alex Willmore

30th June 2019 No Comments

I don’t know about your kids but these is one genre of picture books which my children love above all others and that is the ones which involve comedy  around characters based on the food they eat. This is one of those books and suffice to say, the ten and seven year old loved it as a bedtime story. We still occasionally do picture books instead of chapter books at bedtime because there is something comforting and relaxing about them. This time they had a fight over who would read it out!

The story is basically about a pea who has bounced off the plate across the kitchen. Its a simple idea but had the kids in hysterics, they thought it was really funny.

If you’re looking for a quirky, amusing, light hearted read then this is the book for you.
